1. About this policy
This policy explains how Zutto Digital Private Limited, which operates Deepshorts (“we,” “us”), handles personal information when you visit our website, joined our waitlist, or use Deepshorts Studio. It also covers information received when you connect a social publishing account. Our Terms & Conditions govern use of the Service.
Contact us about privacy at support@deepshorts.ai.
2. Information we process
- Account and contact information: your name, email address, sign-in identifiers, organization membership, and information you send to support. If you joined the waitlist, we hold your email address.
- Content and workspace information: prompts, briefs, uploaded media, reference assets, generated outputs, edits, projects, workflow settings, and publishing instructions.
- Connected accounts: platform account identifiers, usernames or display names, account type, granted permissions, authorization tokens and expiry information, and publication identifiers, links, status, and errors needed to operate publishing.
- Usage and technical information: service activity, job history, logs, device or browser information, and network information such as IP addresses used to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
- Billing information: plan, credits, usage, and transaction records when you use paid features. Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, collects and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We do not store full card numbers.
3. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, manage organizations, create and edit content, run workflows, render and store media, carry out authorized publishing, track usage and billing, respond to support requests, and protect and troubleshoot the Service. Waitlist emails are used to manage your signup and communicate about access to Deepshorts.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide the service you request, for legitimate interests such as security and reliability, to meet legal obligations, or with your consent. You can withdraw consent for optional processing by contacting us or revoking the relevant connection.
7. Storage, security, and retention
We retain information as needed to provide the Service, maintain your workspace, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect against abuse. Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. Deletion may be subject to legally required records and backup retention; any retained information remains subject to appropriate access restrictions.
We use safeguards including access controls and encryption of stored social authorization tokens. No system is completely secure. Service providers may process information outside your country; where applicable, international transfers are subject to safeguards required by law.
8. Disconnecting and deleting your data
You can request deletion of your account, workspace data, or data received from Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube:
- Email support@deepshorts.ai with the subject “Data deletion request.”
- Include the email used for Studio, the organization name, and the connected account or data you want deleted. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
- We may verify your identity and authority over the data before completing the request. We will respond and process the request within the period required by applicable law and platform rules, explaining any information we must retain.
An organization owner can open Settings → Publishing and disconnect an Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube account to remove its stored authorization. Disconnecting retains the destination’s identity and workflow references; deleting the destination removes that connection record. For deletion of other associated data, use the email process above.
You can also revoke access from Instagram or Facebook’s app and website permission settings. For YouTube, you can revoke access through Google’s security settings in addition to requesting deletion from us.
Disconnecting or deleting data in Studio does not delete content already published on a social platform. An upload already in progress may still complete. Use that platform’s controls to remove published posts.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. Contact us at the address above to exercise your rights or stop waitlist communications. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your organization manages your workspace, we may need to coordinate with its owner to fulfill a request involving shared information or organizational records.
10. Children and policy updates
Studio is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We update this policy as our features and practices change. The latest version and update date appear here. We will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes where required by law.
4. Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
Instagram publishing uses Meta’s APIs. When you connect an account, we use the approved account information and authorization to identify the publishing destination and send the media and captions you instruct us to publish. Studio stores authorization tokens in encrypted form; you sign in through the platform, and we do not ask for your social account password.
When you connect Facebook, the integration processes the selected Page’s identifiers, authorization, and publication information. The YouTube integration uses YouTube API Services to process the selected channel’s identifiers, authorization, upload metadata, and publication status to carry out your requests. The permissions shown during connection determine the access you grant.
Information sent to a platform is handled under its own policies, including Instagram’s Privacy Policy, Meta’s Privacy Policy, and the Google Privacy Policy. Published content may be visible to others according to the destination and visibility settings you choose.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
